The US firm shuts down between Christmas and New Year's and offers extra free days off, such as the 4th of July and the day after Thanksgiving.

Cons: Micromanagement seems to have entered the scene, which now includes everything you do being documented, combined with daily team meetings that can go on for hours and negatively impact productivity. This finishes the week with a one-on-one meeting to go over everything you documented. It feels like the days of the empowered employee are over, and it is near impossible for large companies like this to restore empowerment to the workforce.
