I worked with solid, professional, and knowledgeable people. They have a great benefits package, including a well-being subsidy. The salary is good. I worked on government projects, so it was really cool to do something that actually matters in some way.

This is consulting, so of course you're expected to do more than just 40 hours a week.

I had it easy. I worked in a talent model called USDC (delivery center). It's different from traditional consulting because you do just client work, no proposals.

So I got by just doing 40 hours a week. But there's still pressure to do more, like work on company initiatives.

If I stay, I probably wouldn't get promoted for this reason.

Stop talking about mindfulness and well-being while making people work so much. The two are incompatible.
