Pros

Employee makeup is very diverse and inclusive. Contractors are almost always treated similarly to employees. There are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and to share your skills and knowledge as well. Everyone is provided the right training, equipment, and tools to succeed.

Cons

Similar to most companies, there is always room for improvement. The seemingly flat organizational structure brings confusion when it comes to decisions and communications.

Division of labor is skewed toward senior leadership, as they tend to work twice or three times as much.

Lower-level employees tend to do some of the needed admin work on project teams, but they still get opportunities to learn and execute on time-critical deliverables.

Timelines and schedules are very aggressive, but with the full engagement of their employees, they tend to meet most, if not all, committed schedules.

Required travel may be exciting to some, but it is also difficult for those starting out with newborns and younger children.

Advice to Management

Continue to motivate and provide the necessary support for your engagement teams for successful program executions.
