The interview process began with an online application. A day later, I scheduled an initial phone interview. Following that, I had a technical phone interview with an Android developer at Discord.
Shortly after, I advanced to the next stage, which was an on-site interview.
My on-site interview experience was very positive. I was provided a room for the entire day, where all my interviews took place. These included three technical interviews: one focused on architecture and Java design questions, and two Android-related.
During my on-site interview, I was also asked to choose a restaurant for lunch with the team. Additionally, I had a 15-minute walk with a manager to discuss my background (and video games).
Overall, I had a very positive experience. Discord was one of the friendliest companies I interviewed with, and I really liked the team. I found it amusing how everyone, including the manager, is so enthusiastic about video games!
I ultimately rejected the competitive offer because I wanted to live closer to my family.
