Cloud could be better and faster; moving to it.
Environment is becoming more casual.
Great salary and great 401k.
Change management processes change daily, and they are never happy with the work you put into them.
Incident management changes its process daily and can't agree with change management on how incidents should be resolved.
Expect to spend a lot of time on incidents with no sense of urgency.
Expect to get called at all hours of the night by offshore resources who are being paid, yet not paid to think outside the box, and paging you is just the norm.
Directors should not be micromanaging and be involved with engineers day-to-day with 15 new questions each second. Let your managers do their job, and you do yours.
Get rid of offshore and hire on-site support so your teams can get their work done.
