Pros

A lot of passionate people who have dedicated their lives to the company.

Benefits usually include free access to the parks.

Cons

A lot of contractors who don't always seem dedicated.

The company would benefit from building out more internal engineering teams instead of outsourcing so much.

There's also very little interest in the company around creating a strong engineering culture.

A lot of older employees push for us to stick with the same legacy systems that have always been used, and using easy temp solutions instead of building well thought-out tools.

Advice to Management

Replace vendors with permanent employees and focus on long-term solutions, utilizing current best practices.
