The people that you work with on a daily basis are the best part of working for Disney. The pay was good for the location and the benefits were good, but they became quite expensive over the years.
Things got progressively worse over my 15+ years with Disney. They reduced our pensions and continued to raise our portion of the health benefits. They chose to furlough me (a 15+ year employee) and keep my coworker who had less than 1 year with the company. During the furlough period, I received zero communication from the company. Not even an email saying, "Hey, we're thinking about you and know that this is a difficult time." Now, Disney is forcing thousands of CA Cast Members to relocate to FL, and they're forcing Cast Members to get vaccinated. This is not the same Disney culture that attracted me to the company when I joined.
