The pay is good without the obscene working hours required by places like Netflix. You'll see an impact of what you do on your own TV, and it's the only place I've worked where people get excited on hearing that I work there.
Upper management is total chaos. It's a really bad mixture of sudden changes of direction, re-organization, and unwillingness to actually lead or provide clarity on questions they can only answer, while also micromanaging tiny office decisions way down the stack. So few questions at the engineer level get routed to the CTO, while big questions about major project direction go unanswered for months.
Stop wasting everyone's time with RTO pushes. Everyone hates it, and it's killing morale. Focus on actually leading.
Standard HR screen (asked about past projects, technologies I am familiar with, why I want to work at Disney, and why I am leaving my current company). Next step was a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager. She was really nice!
The interview process was pretty smooth. It included an initial phone call followed by a video call interview. The interviewers were very nice and patient. Definitely come prepared for the technical interview.
The interviews themselves were fair, and the tech questions were directly related to the actual work. Getting to each step was a giant pain. There were two to three weeks between interviews, and the recruiter did not respond to any emails in between
