Cons

No standardized hiring bar or committees; sometimes bad hires slip through.

Product requirements and requests change at the drop of a hat; don't get too personally attached to what you're building.

It's very easy for people to just get by with minimal contributions.

A lot of flux and turmoil around transitioning HR systems and acquiring new companies.

Advice to Management

Invest in tools and communications so that employees know exactly where they stand in terms of compensation, benefits, and performance.
