Pros: The pay is good, and the benefits are great. If you need an income, Docusign will provide.

Cons: If you're looking for a place that will support you, help grow your career, or expand your knowledge by learning from the best, this is not the place. Docusign is facing many problems right now, and very little is being done to address them. The engineering organization is in a strange state. Teams typically have 9 to 10 developers, with some as large as 15 or more, often juggling multiple projects simultaneously. Silos have formed not only between teams but also within them. Layoffs have seemingly become a semi-annual occurrence, with sales teams affected in the spring and engineering teams in the fall. Morale appears to be at an all-time low, and the executive leadership team either struggles to inspire confidence or simply doesn't care—it’s hard to tell some days.

Pros: Good benefits, work-life balance. Before the pandemic and several rounds of layoffs, the company had developers and managers who actually cared about writing good code.

Cons: Management is horrible. Upper-level leaders are incompetent and tone-deaf when hearing feedback. If you are not in with the right people or know how to play the political game, there is little room for advancement. Promotions do not take into account your ability to write code but rather how well you can give presentations and write documentation.
