Management is very flexible with respect to working remotely. Work/life balance is good, since we account for development, testing, and incident-handling in a biweekly planning meeting.
Getting to senior involves having visibility, like giving out talks or organizing general meetings, etc., sometimes without providing much value. I would prefer if technical expertise and consistent execution were rewarded instead.
