Process

After a brief initial phone interview, a second round was scheduled over a video call. It consisted of a 1-hour technical assessment and a 45-minute team-building assessment.

For the first part, the expectation was to share your screen and design a system.

For the second one, there were 6 or 7 questions, with a format of "give me an example" or "describe a time when."

Questions

The technical part was not hard, especially if you took time to prepare for the system design questions. It seemed I was expected to give a pretty comprehensive and correct answer right away, not re-iterate on things. For instance, I was corrected on a simple SQL query right after I finished writing it and at the same time walking the interviewer over it. These corrections were obvious to me, but I didn't even get to the final answer yet. So, maybe from the interviewer's perspective, I wasn't fast enough.

As for the second part, it was a blast of questions with basically 5 minutes per answer or so. I didn't really have a good understanding of what to expect and didn't prepare good answers, so it was hard to give concise but comprehensive replies.
