iOS Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Applied online and heard back from the recruiter within a few weeks.

  • Felt like playing the "system," with little time to understand the actual role or work that would be done.
  • No LeetCode questions. For all its flaws, it creates a consistent way to prepare.
  • Artificially difficult questions. As an iOS engineer, you will be able to answer them, but the timing is insufficient, and the barriers seem unnecessary. The questions asked in the first round are typically seen during onsite interviews. While you can Google, the time constraints make it impractical.
  • Interviewers were unhelpful. Don't trust them.
  • Required to sign an NDA for the first round.
  • Efficient recruiter administration. Once you're in the pipeline, scheduling and status updates are handled quickly.
  • Transparent process with a detailed overview packet of each interview round.
  • Compensation is good if you pass.
