Process

  1. Recruiter chat (30 minutes)

  2. Technical phone screen (1 hour)

  • You are given a skeleton project 1 day prior.
  • The interviewer gives you a simple task to implement. (In my case, it was displaying a list of stores from a given base URL into a RecyclerView.) -> Keep in mind, code architecture is important.
  1. Onsite interview a) Systems Design
  • Interviewer will give you an example of a system that you need to design.
  • This is very ambiguous, because interviewers expect you to read their minds. Ask a lot of questions.
  • Suggestion: Watch YouTube videos about 'Interview system design and architecture prep'.

b) Domain Knowledge

  • Questions about Android and past experience.

c) HM Chat

  • Behavioral questions (strengths, weaknesses, leadership).

d) Onsite Project Extension

  • Adding a login screen and storing the login/session token to SharedPreferences.
