I went through a technical screening and then moved on to the final interview process, which consisted of four rounds: two coding, one behavioral, and one system design and domain knowledge.
Up until the technical questions and two coding questions, the interview experience was great. The interviewers were willing to work with me, have conversations, and explain things while we worked towards a solution.
However, the interviewer for my last system design interview was the worst I have ever had in my entire career (approximately six years).
As soon as the interview started, they just threw questions at me and sat there doing something else the whole time. At this point, I wasn't even sure if they were paying attention at all. There was no feedback.
They stopped me constantly, calling me out as wrong every single time.
I almost asked if I was offending them somehow during the interview.
DoorDash, please make sure to pick your interviewers more carefully.
