Pros

Supportive management team, as well as cross-functional teams, in understanding and resolving issues.

Attention to detail, not compromising on quality, and starting with "why".

At the cusp of hypergrowth in the engineering org, meaning significant responsibility as well as opportunity to deliver products in the backlog.

Cons

Benefits are still a bit lacking, e.g., 401k matching, commuter assistance, etc. However, this is understandable since DoorDash is a startup. As a manager, I actually respect that the company is doubling down on core priorities for now. What I'm seeing is that benefits are getting better quarter over quarter, which is a great trend!

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing from an innovation perspective. Keep up the hiring bar, and don't compromise on quality.
