Senior Engineer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California
Process
After an initial phone screen, the recruiter called me for an onsite interview for a Senior level role.
The interview was fine, and most of the questions were simple if you had looked into Glassdoor interview questions, etc.
The second interviewer showed up and said he needed to think about which question he planned to ask me. I was surprised that they weren't even prepared with their questions.
After a few minutes, he asked me a question, some dynamic programming stuff. I was able to provide a good solution to the question. He did not ask even one question from my resume – not even one!
It seemed to me that they were looking for coders with knowledge of algorithms. I realized that my experience/understanding had no bearing on their decision-making.
