Process
First, I had a phone call with a recruiter.
Then she forwarded me to another recruiter who scheduled an hour-long interview. This last recruiter did not reply to an email where I was asking a few questions and requested a calendar invite.
Then I had a screener interview.
- Write three programs for three different questions.
- Questions about systems.
- Finally, how NoSQL works, including a deep dive into replication in Cassandra.
They never mentioned that they were going to ask about Cassandra. They had told me that this was a programming and general system administration interview.
Questions
How replication in Cassandra works.
Are all the nodes owners of the data, or does it work like master-slave?
Who coordinates which node has the data?
How does the load balance work in Cassandra? Which node has to be asked, or is it the same?
