Software Engineer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

Extremely unprofessional.

The initial phone screen seemed to go well. Towards the end, the interviewer told me she would send me an email (I didn't ask her to) with details of the position and the hiring manager.

I waited a couple of days, and nothing arrived. I sent an email to her and her boss asking about the status and stating that if they were not interested, to just let me know.

Still, absolutely nothing came from either of them.

For a company this size, it seems that at least if they reached out to you for an interview and you took the time to do the interview, they would offer you the courtesy of letting you know if they were not interested.

If this behavior is indicative of the rest of the company (and first impressions are usually not that far off), it would not be a place I would want to work at.
