I had a one-hour phone interview. The interviewer was extremely unprepared, awkward, and unprofessional. The questions were quite difficult. I was trying my best, but the interviewer rarely spoke, and it felt like he wasn't paying attention to what I was doing.
Five minutes into coding, when I asked if I was going in the right direction with the question, he mentioned that he couldn't see anything I was coding (probably due to connectivity issues or something). Several times after that, I asked for help or feedback on the direction I was going with the problem. There was complete silence on the other end, or he would mention some small syntax issue with my code, unrelated to the question I asked.
It was clear I was struggling with the question, but he was mostly silent throughout the whole interview and gave me no feedback or guidance towards a correct solution.
I felt extremely uncomfortable during this interview and will not be applying here again.
