Web Developer Interview Experience - San Francisco, California

Process

The initial phone interview was very short and cut straight to the chase. The recruiter seemed uninterested in my background and motivation to join Dropbox.

I was asked a few technical questions and then informed I would have a one-hour technical interview.

I received a confirmation for a Monday morning interview on Sunday at 8 PM. The email linked to interview preparation documents, but I was denied access. Consequently, I could not prepare, only knowing the interview would involve JavaScript.

The interview was conducted over the phone using a shared Codepen for coding.

I encountered a cross-origin error with the API endpoint and spent most of the hour attempting to resolve it.

The following day, I was rejected from all positions I had applied for.
