Good, supportive culture. (Also, my first job and therefore only data point, so, grain of salt.)
- I have never had trouble maintaining my work/life balance.
- I have been encouraged to take my time learning things well, even when it wouldn't immediately benefit my team.
- Has a respectable engineering review process for building new systems, so they are seldom totally harebrained (though they've overhauled this process a couple of times, so this might be out of date).
- Frequent re-orgs make it hard to know who's in charge of what.
- Leans heavily towards building its own systems rather than purchasing them or using OSS.
- High-level "company goals"-type communications tend to sound completely meaningless to me.
