Web Developer Interview Experience - Montreal, Quebec

Process

HR scheduled an initial phone interview. The initial phone interview was her telling me that she was sending me a link to an online test that I had to complete.

I ignored it because I thought that was pretty presumptuous for a company's first move, even before telling me just a little about themselves or the position, so I continued interviewing elsewhere.

A week later I got a reminder email saying I still had a test that needed to be done. I thought "what the hell" and did the test.

The next day they wanted to schedule a 30-minute telephone interview with HR. This was followed by a 60-minute one-on-one on-site interview with someone with very poor English speaking skills, and was often difficult to understand.

This was followed by a 2-hour online test, which was finally followed by radio silence.

The arrogance of this company is quite telling when they don't have the common courtesy to follow up with a candidate after several rounds of interviews.

Questions

Online test questions required knowledge of node traversal, basic search algorithms, and some rudimentary knowledge of popular view libraries.
