Office perks such as a company-issued phone, laptop, and desktop are really nice.
In-office breakfast, lunch, and snacks are awesome.
Employees are genuinely smart and caring.
Confidence in the company to remain in business with little to no layoffs due to outside circumstances (e.g., a global pandemic) remains high.
DRW feels like a giant company of small companies. Cross-collaboration is almost zero, which creates a significant segmented company culture. Some teams are wonderful; some are not.
DRW is also extremely paranoid about cyber security to almost unimaginable degrees. While a certain level of security is required for this type of business, DRW's answer is always "no" first and "yes" after a really long period of time, causing huge backups waiting for approvals to pass the security team(s).
Cross-collaboration and unifying under one brand will be essential to a solid company culture at DRW. Significant hiring (or firing) in the Security team(s) will help remove bottlenecks and spark true innovation.
Moderate difficulty OA, then an in-person Superday which was moderately but not extremely difficult. Each round was scheduled back-to-back, with little break in between. Most of the interviewers were very nice and understanding.
Three coding questions required to answer in C++. They are not very difficult. The test is on the platform Codility, which I believe provides a better experience than LeetCode does. The first two questions are algorithms, and the last one is about
The process was well done but pretty slow. 1. OA - LC Medium level 2. Phone Screen - This was pretty broad and had a variety of CS fundamentals. 3. Super Day - 1 Hard Coding Question + Multiple Interviews Next Day.
