I was given a neat Duolingo-specific HackerRank. After that submission, there was an hour-long technical phone interview. That one was really fun; the interviewer was incredibly friendly and left me super excited for the company and future rounds.
Unfortunately, after that, I did not hear a response for weeks until I informed them that I had other final interviews coming up. Then they scheduled a final interview, which wasn’t very pleasant. While the questions were good, none of the employees seemed like they wanted to be there and gave the exact same half-baked answers on questions about company culture/work environment. I was quite bummed, since I really looked forward to the final rounds.
After the final interview, they ghosted me after promising to get back within a week, due to competing offers. Oh well! I wasn’t too upset about not hearing back due to the final round experience.
