Working at Duolingo has been nothing short of amazing. I've had an opinion on everything that I've worked on since I've started. I work on a really great team of developers, designers, and PMs, and working so closely every day, we've formed some great bonds. Many of my coworkers I consider close friends.
The open office makes it easy to get to know everyone and become familiar with almost everyone you're working with.
I can't think of any downsides to working at Duolingo.
1 round HR chat, 1 round pair coding. After I reviewed the question, it was actually not very difficult, but I was nervous in the interview. I finally worked out the result as expected but still failed in this round. Sad.
Straightforward OA and LC questions. Standard Codesignal General Coding Assessment. As for LC, just basic graph traversals and string/array manipulation should be enough. Behavioral was a little short though, so didn't get to share much. Overall,
Easy unproctored CodeSignal. A quick 15-minute behavioral interview where I was asked a maximum of 4 questions about previous experiences. No software experience was expected for either the technical or behavioral interview.
