The recruiters and R&D teams are genuinely nice people.
Management and higher-ups could care less about you. I was offered a position, agreed to terms, and signed. I agreed to start a month later due to prior engagements, only for the offer to be rescinded two days before my start date for vague reasons regarding budget cuts (which were discussed in interviews, as they said they were in a growth period and had just received new funding). This was all after I underwent an extremely lengthy onboarding process, a background check, started the relocation process without being reimbursed, and introduced myself to the entire team, only for it all to be taken away two days before I started. Don't believe the hype; they don't care about you. You'll be viewed as just another cog in a machine rather than a valued employee.
Human decency goes a long way!
It was an open-ended discussion. The interviewer was good and very accommodating. They asked relevant questions and did not unnecessarily drag them out. Most of the questions were based on the experience I mentioned in the CV.
The interview process was relatively lengthy due to scheduling, but overall it was pretty smooth. * Recruiter screen (approx. 30 minutes) * Interview with 2 senior developers and the team lead * Take-home assessment * Final interview evaluat
5 Step Interview: * Intro * Technical Round (Web Dev, etc.) * Logical Reasoning - Thinking aptitude checked based on puzzle-type reasoning questions. * HR Round - Asked about past experiences working in a team. * Product Pitch Presentation
