Quality Assurance Analyst Interview Experience - Portland, Oregon
Process
It was a typical entry-level position interview.
Although they asked a few technical questions (what kind of computer/OS do you use, have you ever played around with any sort of code or terminal commands, etc.), for the most part, they just asked the normal interview questions that essentially determined if I could be trained easily to follow their standards.
Questions
For me personally, the technical questions were quite difficult because they were very specific.

eBay Work Experiences
- 5.0Amazing company with great peopleSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeePortland, Oregon, United StatesSeptember 10, 2020Pros: The people, the work-life balance, the salary. I love it here.Cons: None really, aside from some corporate ladder climbers.
- 4.0Good Pay, Messy TechMTS-2 Software Engineer • Current EmployeePortland, Oregon, United StatesOctober 18, 2024Pros: There’s a lot of opportunity to make good money here. You have the ability to work in eBay offices in other countries, though it comes with a pay cut unless you are moving to the US.Cons: This company is a bit of a mess. Their tech is old and poorly maintained. Their architecture in every area I’ve worked in has been a complete disaster. They try things, go through an org change, and drop all those things on the floor and start another thing. This happens over and over, which is largely why it’s such a mess. And no, not all tech companies are like this.
