After the initial contact from HR, we arranged a 40-minute phone technical interview with two people from the IT department. The interview covered development, testing, and Agile methodologies. They also explained the process and the role at eBay.
This was a positive experience, but they failed to provide the results. I had to inquire, after which they confirmed I had passed and then sent me the technical quiz.
The second step, a practical development problem, was not very difficult for me.
I passed the quiz, or so they indicated. However, the process was apparently supposed to be canceled. I suspect they already had another candidate and my application was delayed due to their error. Overall, my experience was good, but I am adjusting my rating to "neutral" solely because of this issue.
