Process
I applied online and received an email from the recruiter to set up the interview appointment. The first part, approximately 25 minutes, consisted of behavioral and personal questions asked by the team leader. This was followed by technical questions from an engineer.
Both interviewers were female and amicable. However, contrary to my confidence in the interview and the conversations, they were non-responsive for the next three weeks before informing me that I was not accepted.

- 4.0Software Engineer Intern in Search Science at eBaySoftware Engineer Intern • Former EmployeeSan Jose, California, United StatesOctober 8, 2012Pros: A big, name-brand company in Silicon Valley that is getting smarter about technology, has a big vision, and is doing well. The group I worked in had a very laid-back attitude. Good work-life balance.Cons: Not as strong in technology or research as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc. Ironically, the same laid-back group I interned with will turn down a job applicant who has the technical skills if he appears to be laid-back.
