Software Engineering Internship Interview Experience - College Station, Texas

March 1, 2014

Process

I applied through the campus recruiter.

I had a phone interview about one month later. The interviewer asked me two programming questions. I did well on the first question, but the second question was a little bit tricky, so I did not have time to finish it.

Questions

Convert an arbitrary integer number to spoken words.

I could implement a version of this algorithm with a limit of integers below 10,000. However, for all integers, I do not have the answer.

Treat Full-Time Employees Well, But Not Contract Employees

Senior QA Analyst • Former Employee

Draper, Utah, United States

Pros: I worked for eBay for 6 months. Great facilities and great people to work with.

Cons: Upper management treats contract employees terribly. They are forced to take two weeks off without pay during the Christmas holidays. Whenever upper management comes into town, they take the full-time employees out to lunch but not contractors. As a contractor, you may or may not be able to work 40 hours a week.
