I was approached by a separate recruiting agency, who then forwarded my profile to eBay.
I received an email from an eBay recruiter and scheduled a phone screening interview.
A basic tree coding question was asked, and I was able to solve it in 20-25 minutes. I even explained how it could be done using DFS, though it wouldn't be the optimal solution.
The interviewer was very rude and sounded like he was running eBay's infrastructure single-handedly, lol. He appeared to be a recent graduate who had been working at eBay for two years.
It seems eBay is just training their new hires to conduct interviews.
Suggestion: Please check the interviewer's profile. If that person is less experienced than you, don't waste your time interviewing with eBay.
