Applied through LinkedIn. The recruiter contacted me and asked about my current experience, why I want to join eBay, and current technologies. After two days, I received a link to schedule an interview call with the hiring manager.
Questions
The hiring manager asked me about my current project role and responsibilities, its architecture, and behavioral questions, such as challenges faced and how to handle a difficult subordinate. They also asked me to design two tables and connect them to get an 'h' value from the second table.
The interviewer was in a hurry and repeatedly mentioned they needed to close the interview quickly. Although it was scheduled for 45 minutes, they concluded it in 25 minutes.
In my opinion, the interviewer was not prepared and seemed distracted, hindering their ability to evaluate me effectively. They did not listen to my answers and interrupted me whenever I tried to explain deeper concepts. The interviewer's behavior was not good; they seemed to be on a power trip.
