Suffocating politics. After some time, you will start seeing the real hidden agenda of your colleagues and managers. It is not their fault; they want to grow and have no other option than playing as per the system.
Incompetent managers. eBay has somehow managed to attract all the inept engineers into management roles. They thrive and let only those of their kind thrive.
Trim the company down to 7 to 8 thousand. You do not need 15k+ people to carry a dying company. Get acquired quickly. Stop taking pride in being the first marketplace; Amazon is literally eating you alive and you do not realize it. Shore up, guys!
