Interesting projects, exposure to real-world heavy traffic, a few smart people to work with, good work-life balance, and resources available to learn new things.
Too many levels of management, full of people who please managers and get promotions instead of doing work. They are afraid to make drastic changes or introduce game-changers due to the size of traffic and the possible impact.
Focus on better evaluation for promotions by discussing with more than just the manager and actually checking deliverables.
