Good work/life balance.
Unlike what I was told before joining EA about their long hours and lack of appreciation for employees' time, my managers made a good effort in making sure that employees' expectations in terms of work/life balance are met.
We played games at work.
The pay is good.
There were too many non-technical managers in every team.
The tasks in my team were divided in a way that every software engineer did exactly one thing that they were good at, meaning that you don't get to learn too much from being involved in different aspects of the work.
Huge waste of money on too many parties.
The only food option nearby is the cafe inside EA. The food is not too good and expensive as well.
Had an interview with 4 different rounds. First round was HR. Then a tech round with the managers, and then 2 panel rounds. It was a bitter ending; I did not get an offer.
Starting with a phone screening with HR, followed by an interview with the technical director. Then a technical interview with team members and a behavioral interview with a producer and a project manager.
A first screening with the recruiter to talk about the position. An interview with the software engineering lead, and then three more rounds of interviews. One of them was "culture add" and then two technical interviews, which were pretty similar.
