I recently had a first-stage interview with an HR representative for a role that directly aligns with my skill set. Unfortunately, the interviewer seemed more focused on talking about the company’s achievements and putting ElevenLabs on a pedestal than genuinely exploring my background and fit for the position.

While the conversation was okay overall, they mentioned they would send a coding task, but I haven’t received any response despite my follow-up. Whether due to oversight or some other reason, it’s unprofessional and reflects poorly on their process.

They missed an opportunity to engage meaningfully by using a non-technical gatekeeper with limited understanding of programmatic SEO, coding, and LLMs to assess relevant candidates, ultimately wasting time and energy for both sides.
