QA Manager Interview Experience - United States

Process

Connected with the recruiter who set up a time with the Director and Lead. Both were late.

The Lead had questions around dealing with difficult teammates and stakeholder management.

The Director was unable to answer what KPIs the team is measured by and indicated the need for someone who is adaptable and pragmatic.

There was an incorrect insinuation that I wouldn't know how changing a movement feature would impact gameplay and that I would be responsible for calling shots like that. When this assumption came out, I knew then that both had already made assumptions and were tuning out the rest of my interest in the game, team, etc.

It was indicated multiple times that working at Epic is 'hectic' and that processes are lacking.
