Decent pay, flexible with time off when you need it, free food, snacks, drinks, and coffee. Great environment and culture.
Contractors are second-class citizens. Abysmally low conversion rates occur because it's apparently easier to just train another person to do the job when your contract is up rather than keeping someone that knows what they are doing or that has experience.
Stop using contractors and then tossing them aside. Tell your recruiters to be honest and not let them think they stand a chance to be converted when in reality they don't.
Stop attempting to grow if you can't give jobs to the people that help you be so successful.
The screening consisted of them asking me about my experiences and relevant technical background. This was followed by a technical interview and a meeting with the hiring manager to talk and meet the team.
The interviewers were friendly, at least. They asked me a few experience and technical questions related to the job responsibilities (code QA). Unfortunately, I was ghosted after three interviews.
It was pretty smooth. I had 5 different interviews, each with 2 interviewers (standard for big companies). The interviewers' backgrounds were diverse; therefore, even when focused on similar topics, the questions and scenarios were different.
