Pros: Nice for young people getting started with their first jobs. Overall, people there are very nice, and I love my coworkers.

Cons: Management is a huge red flag. The job is incredibly role and team dependent. Even in the same role, your team culture can make or break your experience. There is a strong grind mindset here that is incredibly stressful. If you get stuck with an unsympathetic manager (honestly, most of them), then they treat you horribly. Upper management also keeps adding new policies that make lives difficult for the most ridiculous reasons, such as no more remote work during snowstorms; instead, you have to use your allotted remote work days.

Pros: The people were great. The salary and benefits were also a plus.

Cons: You do have to live in Madison/Verona. I loved Madison, but others may prefer a bigger city.

Pros: Company culture of producing quality software for the customers, above all else. Quality is taken to the extreme, and every little detail gets challenged. Very open to working with you to meet your goals, whether that’s what you’re interested in or moving up the ladder. You own your project, you communicate with customers, design it, make all of the decisions, and are responsible for it. There's no one over you making those decisions, but you do have to defend the decisions. Writing lots of lines of code, spending like half time on new development.

Cons: Very demanding job, working full speed all the time. It seems like everyone has more on their plate than they can keep up with. I was working 10-11 hr days and still felt behind. Can’t hand off a project under really any circumstance, even if something unexpected is found and it’s way over your head. You're expected to seek help, but it is very limited at times. Big learning curve if you’re starting out. Working across several different languages and several projects, which includes lots of time learning different business logic and user preferences.
