Quality Assurance Interview Experience

Process

I went through the first round of the interview process but didn't make it to the next. There were 3 parts:

  • Phone interview
  • Non-technical skills exam
  • Personality test

The phone interview was with someone who was already a Quality Assurance Tester. It was pretty laid back, mostly just going over my resume, asking me some pretty standard interview questions, and telling me about the company while answering any questions I had.

The non-technical skills assessment was pretty difficult. I had to answer logic questions and questions on a simple, made-up programming language, and everything was timed.

The personality test was also timed and had a mix of logic questions and "identify which statements you agree with most" type questions.

The company moves pretty fast through this process. They contacted me the day after I applied and wanted me to get the interview and exams done within a week or so. They sent me the rejection letter at the end of the following week.
