Several rounds with preliminary assessments, technical assessments, and also quite a long call hopping between multiple interviewers. It was all manageably difficult, but almost too thorough, if that's a thing. I suppose it's good to really see where your candidate stands, skills and personality-wise.

Pros: Pretty good degree of flexibility, campus and food options very nice.
Cons: Never felt more like a cog in a machine.

Good starter job, great coworkers, but not a job to stay at forever

Pros: Good as a starter job - good pay, thorough training, and for many jobs, a Computer Science degree is not required despite it being a software company.
Good coworkers - most people were very friendly and the demographic skews very young (since Epic likes to hire people right out of college).
Very good health insurance!
Cons: Overall, not great. Extra effort is not appreciated, management (at least on a team level) can change frequently, and standards change drastically between team leads.
Epic claims it doesn't do layoffs, but that's not strictly true. They instead "ask" people to set an end date, so they can claim everyone quit instead of being fired or laid off.

Pros: - Working with very competent coworkers
- Important mission and work within healthcare
- Can be very flexible if you position yourself correctly
Cons: - Success and happiness within your job need to come from yourself and will likely not be driven by the company.
- It is very easy to get bogged down with work if you don't set boundaries.
