Epic interview is a 4 to 5 step process. It takes a lot of time and regardless of the job, you must be a programmer.
Unless you're unemployed, just started work right from college, or are desperate to get out of your current company, I advise against interviewing with this company.
They dragged me through weeks of an online app, personality profile, multiple 3-hour exam skills assessments, a 1-on-1 interview, a group interview, a recruiter interview, multiple detailed references requested, and then an additional programming assessment, even though the job was Storage Infrastructure.
Everything went wonderfully, from what I was told by them. After the last assessment, I received nothing from Epic until I reached out. Two days later, without even contacting my referrals, I received a voicemail from an anonymous caller (turned out to be Epic HR): 'We're proceeding with other candidates.' Thanks for wasting my time!
Apparently, getting into Epic is like joining a country club – you must pass the smell test many, many times.
Background, experience, etc. Interview questions were not hard or challenging, and they didn't ask stupid questions like AWS, Lowes, or Service Express might ask, such as 'Give me an example of when... blah blah blah happened and tell me how YOU handled it.' Those questions are tiring and subjective. Basically, they're asked to see how good of a "BS'er" you are.
Surveys - EPIC will ask 'how are they're doing along the way,' and of course, they give you a warm and fuzzy that you're being comfortably shepherded through the hiring process, making you feel good, so you tend to answer those surveys nicely.
