I was surprised to hear back almost immediately from Epic, and they wanted a phone interview.

The phone interview was barely an interview. The guy just asked me a few simple questions about a project of my choosing, and he talked about Epic for a while.

The next step was the technical assessment. It's a test that takes several hours and is pretty difficult. There's a proctor watching you the entire time.

I've never encountered anything else that time-consuming and rigorous that early on in the interview process.

I apparently failed because several days later I got the "Thanks for the interest but we're pursuing other candidates" email.
