Process
The first round was a telephone interview, which is definitely not technical. They just ask about your experience and interest and a few questions from your resume.
Second was a programming assessment where you need to write a program or algorithm for a given problem statement. It was a total of 5 problems.
Once cleared, then I flew to Madison and had a one-to-one technical interview, followed by an aptitude test, and finally the HR interview.

Pros: - Great pay!
- Work was good in terms of ownership, challenges, responsibilities, etc.
- Leadership is good.
- You would like it if you like project management, project ownership, customer interaction, and healthcare.
- Good benefits
Cons: For a software engineer, the technology that you'll work with is often old. This is except for a few teams that use new and cool technology. However, the chances that you'll get into those teams are slim.
It's difficult to get a job elsewhere, not just in the healthcare industry but also in other software companies, because of the old technology that few people use.

Pros: - Decent compensation, but it's not that stellar when you consider how much overtime is involved.
- Excellent food that's heavily subsidized.
- Beautiful campus.
- Surrounded by pretty smart and capable people.
Cons: They will extract every ounce of effort that they can from you, no matter the personal cost. Expect to consistently work many hours of unpaid overtime.
Upper levels will consistently gaslight and dehumanize you. Epic's handling of Covid/WFH really laid bare how little you matter.
Diversity and inclusion is not a thing here.
