Pros: I enjoy the technical challenges, awesome culture, and amazingly smart people who work here. Everyday is a fun challenge, and I learn something new from the most talented developers I have ever worked with. I previously spent 7 years in the defense industry for two different companies before spending nearly 4 years at Epic. The difference is night and day, and I really enjoyed my two previous jobs.
Cons: Explosive growth leads to growing pains in terms of process, but it's not a bad problem to have.

Pros: The pay and benefits are pretty great within the Madison area, but there is better pay elsewhere.
Cons: They will work you to the bone and more or less ask you to sacrifice your health for their goals.

Pros: Individual offices, good food, good pay for the location, and good buildings (for everyone).
Good projects, good managers, and a good team (if you are lucky enough).
Cons: In my case, they hired me as a C# web developer, trained me for 6 months on C#, and then I was given VB projects. I had a bad team. I am not even sure that the team I worked with at least knew the rest of the team members. It doesn't fit software developers who wish to work on the latest technologies. At Epic, all the tools they use are built by them, so it is difficult to use the learnings at Epic elsewhere.
