Process

Phone interview followed by an online test through Proctor. The phone interview was a general discussion on previous projects and experience, and questions on elevator design. The online test had almost the same questions as given on Careercup. My test went well, except for the speed part, where around 10-12 questions were to be answered in just 2 minutes.

Pros: 1. Good pay in the Midwest, but not nationwide. 2. Living expenses are low if you do not live in Madison.

Cons: I stayed in Epic for about two years. 1. Old technology. Still using Visual Basic and Cache. 2. Very long working hours. 3. If you hold an H1-B visa, be careful about your manager. I heard a lot of unhappy stories. 4. Your career path will be limited if you put Visual Basic in your skill set.
