Pros: High autonomy;
Merit-based compensation and incentives;
Huge impact / meaningful work;
Early growth opportunities;
Very competitive compensation (given the cost of living in Madison especially);
Madison itself (top 3 places to live in US);
Working with smart people;
New challenges every week.
Cons: If you work at Epic, you will likely work hard, but I honestly feel like you "reap what you sow."
Remember that saying "Yes, if..." or "No" is OK if your workload is already very high. Epic hires a lot of bright, motivated individuals who have the tendency to take on more than they can handle and feel like they can't offload some of their work after the fact. If you can manage your workload and put in the extra effort when necessary, you'll do great.

Pros: The salary is great. There are a lot of interesting projects to work on, and you're given a lot of responsibility right away. The people you work with are great, and that's what I liked most about working at Epic.
Cons: Some benefits, like parental leave, are mediocre for a tech company. Work-life balance can be difficult to maintain, and you need to learn to say "no" a lot. Upper management is out of touch, and Epic's handling of Covid for its employees is embarrassing.
