There was an initial phone screen with a developer who asked basic questions: How'd you learn about Epic? Why are you interested in the position? Are you willing to relocate to Madison? Etc. Nothing too probing or demanding, and no technical questions whatsoever.
After that, there was a programming skills test where you could use whatever language you wanted, even pseudocode. The questions themselves were very simple, so I'm not sure what exactly they were hoping to learn from it.
Finally, I was flown in onsite and treated lavishly. I was put up in a really nice hotel and given two fancy dinners in Madison: one the night of arrival and one the night after the interview. One was with a technical problem solver and another with a developer.
The interview day itself didn't really feel like too much of an interview for me. I basically just got to talk to a bunch of different developers, had a nice free lunch, and got a tour of the huge/nerdy campus. The only real interview questions I got were a few behavioral ones from the HR person at the end, and even those just seemed like part of a conversation more than anything else.
What would one of my recommenders say is one of my weaknesses?
