Process

I received an email from Epic stating that they had shortlisted me for a phone interview. They insisted I take an online test first, which consisted of basic math questions and English analogy-type questions. The phone interview went quite smoothly; we just discussed the resume.

The skill test consisted of five questions, and we could choose the language of our choice or even use pseudocode. There was no time limit. I took two hours to complete the test. Most of the questions were based on string manipulation.

Questions

A password keypad has 10 buttons: 0-9. One of the number keys is broken. Check if the password the user entered is right, taking into consideration that the number key 9 is broken.
